It is funny how you can get tired of something someone does, and the other person ends up being the sympathetic character. It feels like some shitty Apatow movie.

There aren't many bands out there that treat their fans like Ozma does.

Similar to my experience with Pasadena when it came out, my music tastes have moved on a bit from Ozma. Not entirely. My first impression of the album is that it's well done. But I'm not really into a good half of the songs. However, the ones I do like, I like quite a bit. This is just first listen, however. We'll see about the future.

On a related note.. Never Know reminds me a lot of the water levels music from Donkey Kong Country on the SNES. Which is not a bad thing at all. I love that track.
I'll be rising high above the earth so soon, and the tears I cry might turn into the rain that gently falls upon your window. You'll never know.

I'd just like to point out that I am the first person listed in the Special Thanks.

You're welcome, Ozma. You're welcome. <3

"Girlfriend You're The One" sounds like Daniel Brummel doing a take on a Green Album b-side--
and I mean that in the best way possible. I think it's great. Love that drum-fill into the solo.

Over the years my taste has changed some, but so has Ozma's sound. I feel my taste changed in the same direction and at the same time a different direction as their sound has changed. I love seeing how they progressively been developing their style.

That being said, I have been playing this album over and over. It has been growing on me quick. Each time I listen to it I like it even more. I love it. I personally feel that this entire album does what only the last half of Pasadena does. Jose's, Star's Singing, Daniel's and Ryen's lead vocals song's all are unique, but in a way that  everything fits and blends together nicely together. Oneness....(^_^)

It is a very well put together album.

:( these forums used to be more active back in the day. Anyone going to see them next Friday? I'm going and bringing the gf and a friend. I'm sure the show will be great.

I'm still impatiently awaiting the shipment of my physical CD copy.

same... haven't gotten mine yet either. More excited for the t-shirt than anything though.

FWIW, my initial reactions of not being into "a good half of the songs" is no longer true.  There isn't a song on there I dislike. Certainly some that grab me more than others, but overall, this is a really solid album.

There's a couple of choices I don't like very much, like the end of You'd Think I Know (starting with the scream and solo). Besides that the album is catchy and quite good. Nervous is a very good song!

youknowthestory

Boomtown is great! Could not stop listening to it when it was initially made available. My favourite song off the album changes every time I listen to it because they're all so good.

For those of you that pledged for a t-shirt, have you received it?! Getting antsy lol

noonchild

Kind of silly but I haven't listened to it yet... I'm saving it for East canyon.   :heh:

I'd like to purchase the album digitally, but would like to do so using the service/method that gives Ozma (preferably all, but at the very least) the most money. Also, DRM free. Would that be bandcamp?

-Jordan :)
you're as cold as ice.

yes.  bandcamp takes out very little $$$
