No offense, but I didn't think Ryen's were the best at all. They weren't bad, but Nate's were a lot better.

And by naming them, I'm referring to the one's they sing, not necessarily wrote.

I loved Pictures of Your Bones but I never really got into the rest of the album.  That doesn't mean I didn't like it--I just never was in the mood for it at the time, and I haven't really given it much more thought since then.  Though my Pictures of... has 19 playcounts while everything else has like 2 and 3.  I just really loved that song.

Kinda weird that, now that they're not really complete anymore(i.e. no Ryen and Jose) and they're not touring or anything..I kind of don't feel the urge to listen to the cd. Weird.

Dan's always been pretty cool to me, but I think he has kind of a low tollerance for people he's not really interrested in talking to.  Not to be egotistical or something, but once he left a group of people that were talking to him in order to come talk to the group of people I was with.  It was somewhat amusing.

Jose has always been extremely nice to me.  I think he's in a hurry a lot because he's busy.  Being in a band requires a lot of work, and I get the impression that he does a lot of it.

Star has always been nice to me.  Last time I met her, she was very kind.  I'd understand if she were a bitch, she probably has to deal with a LOT of creepy guy fans, but she's always been cool to me.

Ryen I have had only minimal dealings with, but he seems chill.

Pat used to be extremely fucking friendly, then he just got high and drunk and antisocial.

Thing about all of them, though, is they are just people.  It's probably not fair to say "dude, ____ was such a dick!" just because they were lame the one time you met them.  Everybody's lame once in a while, it's luck of the draw.

dude, if I had fans like you guys, you could do whatever the fuck you wanted when you met me.  You're giving me your hard earned cash, your time, and your encouragement.  If you were the lamest kid ever I would be extremely interested in anybody who was that devoted to what I did.  It's like if you bumped into Robert Deniro on the street and were like "oh snap, let me get a photo" and if he was like "no" then fuck him.  Ask him to give back the money you spent seeing his movies.  People that get into this business know what they're getting into and if they want to be lame about it then get back that skrilll!  sorry for the tangent, point being Ozma are genrally cool in person as long as you don't slap jose too hard on the back when you hug him (I did and he grunted with pain).  But if they weren't I doubt I could be a fan anymore.  Like Reggie and the Full Effect, I bought their albums and went to their shows until I met Dewees.  If you've read this far you know that today was a boring day. Artists don't owe fans shit.  I think it's bullshit a lot of times when somebody meets a favorite musician once and decides to toss all their shit up on ebay just because he didn't feel like kissing fans asses.  The good artists make music because they want to make music.  They decide to make money off of it because it's better than working a register for the rest of their lives.  They don't do it for the fans.  So what if you give them money, presumably you get your reward in the form of a good CD or live show.  Often times fans are increadibly over critical of musicians as well, and have no idea what it's like to be in their shoes.  If a guy tells you to go fuck yourself or shoots your pets or something, then you might have a point, but a lot of times fans get pissed about things as minor as a bad vibe.  Maybe an artist doesn't want to talk to you.  Maybe he's in a hurry cause he has to get his shit off the stage or talk to the annoying interviewer from the local press.  Maybe he's on very little sleep and frusterated by having been on the road for a week and a half.  In any case, musicians should not bend over backwards to please the fans.  I don't buy CDs from people for being nice guys, I buy CDs of good music.
