Not Jason

i posted this in the musicians subforum, but i figured it might be of some interrest to others of you.  I did the guitars for this one night in july, and i forgot entirely about it until tonight when i found it and put vocals on it in a couple of takes.  it's not much, it's pretty rough, but maybe somebody will enjoy it.

Nicely done.  It has a relaxed, calm feel to it.  I like.  :)

Heh, the first song was pretty cool, the second was interesting... but maybe highly suggestive?

You're cover is great Jason.

It is funny how you can get tired of something someone does, and the other person ends up being the sympathetic character. It feels like some shitty Apatow movie.

sidindin

yup.. half of my profile is in bahasa indonesia...
the first song pattern was little bit a sumatran music..
your father will know if he is from riau..

thx bro tristan

How about not resurrecting threads from 2 years ago, that contain links to things that no longer exist?

I feel pretty stupid, because I remember even reading this thread once when I was bored and going through old topics. I assumed when I saw this that Jason was re-uploading it for old times sake  :-[

Its funny how some of you can get all sensitive. I just do this harmless joke then in result some of you guys get really mad and I get hate mail and negitive karmas even on my youtube page. Not all of you just some. Sorry about that though Ronnie. I didnt mean to post in your name and make you share in the wrath.  :lockdance:

note:  this link is probably not going to stay valid for another two years.  I barely even remember recording this.

edit:  man, what an embarrassing performance.

it's an old recording.  i still sing like that sometimes, but usually when I'm demoing songs at four in the morning and have to sing quiet.  If I were to record this today, I'd probably be belting it out a lot louder and, as you suggested, an octave higher.  When I sing that quiet, I have to sing low, it's just the way my voice works.  I doubt I'll revisit this recording though, I've got more pressing projects to worry about than two year old cover songs.
