I just got back from hot jam session with Mr. Sharp and his Rentals.  I played guitar (distorted and micro-polytonal train sounds) on a track called "girls on the metro" which will appear in the next batch of songs to be released REALLY soon - a week or two tops. check that out if you're interested.

I sure will check that out.  First Joey Santiago, now Ryen Slegr..  how will they ever top this?!?
We can blast way inside

I dont know if anyones listened to the song yet, but its really cool. Its up on the rentals myspace (and official website [or you can buy the album]). I would love to hear matt and ryen do some type of vocal harmony... *hint hint ryen*

Yo people, instead of starting another post about the rentals I'll just continue on this one -
I recorded some weird slide sounds and acoustic guitar on a couple new Rentals songs -  The Future (various strange sounds)  and Irrational Things (just some acoustic at the end)
Matt's getting crazy with his new Juno-60 and when I saw him was up to his neck in audio tracks in Logic, it was real fun to watch him work and also show him how to reverse audio files - pretty long session for the amount of stuff that actually made it into the song but well worth it for sure.
I believe all the stuff is getting mixed by Dave Trumfio who did earlier sessions with them (and produced the first Acute album that Pat played on) and was also in a great band called The Pulsars:  ozma became a big fan of after seeing them open for weezer in the late 90's, check out their music or some of the Trumfio Trio which is his current project - I still need to do that.
Anyway - the stuff is sounding real cool - give it a spin when you get a chance.

There aren't many bands out there that treat their fans like Ozma does.

May have. This is an older message than my recently hijacked posts. I just don't rmember why i would have posted that. :/

On topic: I am glad that you have been working with the Rentals, Ryen. I hope you will continue to do so.

And as regards of the pulsars, I believe that the music-map website listed them as a band similar to ozma. I think emusic recommended them to me one time I typed ozma in a box. I just looked them up again and they sound very good. Like it a lot so far. Thanks for helping me find this again ryen.
