I talked to Ryen briefly about how much the movie Tron impacted Ozma stylistically, and ever since I've been wondering about if any influence ever came from the larger cyberpunk genre. I've been reading William Gibbson's Neuromancer in my free time, and I've noticed stylistic similarities. Namely a fixation on advanced technology (in Ozma's case flying cars and spaceships) and fixations on ethnic cultures (in Ozma's case, Russia and Japan). What do you guys think?

Nice. One of my favorite concerts was this show. I saw them at the Lowell Auditorium in Massachusetts. I then saw Ozma a few more times at The Middle East in Boston, one of my favorite venues at the time. Pictures unfortunately have been lost (or are buried somewhere, effectively lost).
Hey yall! I was going through the old rock and roll part three enhanced edition's bonus features and noticed that this interview has never really been well acknowledged. So I dug up the April 2000 archive of the UCLA Daily Bruin and transcribed it for your reading pleasure.
