GREAT show and a pretty reasonably sized crowd for the super small venue.

They played SHOOTING STARS!  Omg, I never thought I'd get to hear that live, it was AwEsOmE.

Too bad there was an indie dance party afterwards since the set was only 45 minutes long.

KILLER SET...I had a similar experience with a "curfew" at the 9:30 club for Explosions in the Sky...Bob Mould from Husker Du was djing afterwards so they were not permitted to do an enocre...SONAR TONIGHT!

I have to say it was a pretty awesome show, but then with Ozma it always is This is my third time seeing them; I saw them open up for the Get up Kids and Weezer back at Bender Arena in DC (I think that was in 2001?) and I also saw them at the Black Cat (last year or so?). But yes, they played all my favorites: Rocks, Shooting Star, Domino Effect, Tetris theme *sigh* I kinda wanted them to play Battlescars for the encore but regardless it was an Samuel show, even if it was a bit short. And heh, now I am even considering driving up to Baltimore to see them tonight! Yay Ozma!

Also-- I was kinda glad they didn't play Battlescars.  I certainly love the song, but I know up until this tour they had played it at every single show they had ever played, ever.  So, it was kinda cool not to see it.  I felt kinda happy for them--like they realized they didn't need to play it to put on a satisfying show.
