ooh, Irregardless, I've heard good things about them.
Shame Yes Dear's apparently not playing though. I assume that's probably why you posted this, to let us know of the cancelation.
Anybody who's into powerpop and lives close enough to attend this should definitely go see Irregardless, it's been a long time since they've played together, and I think a lot of you would really dig their sound.

Dude, I live in fucking central Maine. I know how you feel.
heck, i'll miss it too. but, i highly encourage someone to boot this. please please please.

This is good.Ã, A Saturday.
Are you going to be able to attend and possibly record maybe?
Saturday's probably the best possible day for such a thing to happen, yes.
Gonna be Sarah's call as she'd be driving, but with the Wrens opening I'd guess that's looking good, too....
The last show I went to record was the New Pornographers/Destroyer show, and the ID-checking dude saw a cord sticking out of my pocket and for the first time ever confiscated my Archos for the show, so I bet I'm going to be sorta nerve-wracked recording this thing if I can attend. :-\
Um, as if this was a question. I would request the day off work if it was a day I had to work, believe me, I'm so effing there. Especially with The Wrens!

It would be a very big deal to a lot of people I'm sure if you could get a bootleg of this show. Obviously, it's your equipment and your associated risks, so of course, I understand if not, but I personally would really really like to hear this, and there is pretty much no possible way that I can physically be in attendance.
Oh that was supposed to be a silly image of a cowering me, not a cop-out on recording the show if I can. No worries there.
I would really like to see/hear this show. You know, really. So, uh, Bob if you're going to try and get a boot, best of luck.

2400 miles?
that aint shit
Says the guy from East LA. :P
says the guy that just recently drove alone from halifax, nova scotia
Touche. :)
Yeah, 2400 is an awful lot. Our round trip will be 1000, and I think that is quite a lot.
Granted, if we added up all the miles we've driven for Ozma, the Bob and I would be heading upwards of 6 or 7k.
No, we're totally not obsessive.

I was just talking about how we've driven a lot for a band, and cited one...I guess we could have said like, Rilo Kiley or something.
;)
I had the great opportunity and saw Irregardless @ Spaceland in LA just before Standing Time On The Borderline was released. So if your able to attend I suggest you do so. For myself, I'll just hope they trek on up to San Francisco.
i'm considering flying there. would be $300 for me roundtrip.
HA! the jim yoshii pile up!
they were named after steves brother!
i've only heard them once, but i still crack up whenever i hear the name.
carry on.
i was never here.
Um, can someone please give me a straight answer if Irregardless is Ozma or not? Cuz I'm coming home from Australia (which entails me flying into LAX) around the date of that show, and if it is in fact Ozma I might alter my travel plans to goto this show, but I wanna know for sure. So please, whats the dealio? Thanks in advance.
-Jordan :)
Edit: If this is some sort of joke (that I'm obviously not getting) and you don't wanna spoil it, then please PM or something. Thanks again.
Jordan?
anyways, lol @ bob for having the cord hanging out of his pocket. Come on, bob. I thought you were smart.

Just because they have a similar line up and play some of the same songs doesn't mean anything.
That's about as absurd as saying that Goat Punnishment has anything in common with Weezer.

Its was Ozma, just no Pat, it was a another good drumer instead and a differnt keyboardest/flute player/vocal back up signer.. They sounded the same, they went under that name becuase Yes Dear was going to open for The Wrens then they decided to do this instead, I guess becuase this is a wrens show they did not want to divert the attention to the new band. So they went as irregardless.
different keyboardist? are you sure it wasn't just star with blonde hair...?
