I had heard about that show, but I had no idea he was connected to it at all. Is this from the actual show or just something he did?
Thats interesting considering Jose was almost on that one episode.
the only scepticism that i might have about the authenticity of this is that the guy who made the thing on youtube spelled it "cavmen" which doesnt really mean much, and also that the songs lyrics are "C-A-V-E-M-A-N" instead of the obvious cavemen.
I love the fact that obviously none of us bothered watching the show, which makes confirmation of this nearly impossible to prove.

Why would you doubt the authenticity.. who would lie about writing the theme to this show?
What would be their motive.
If i were ryen i would lie and say that i DIDNT write the theme.
Just kidding Ryen.
C a v e m a n
Cavemen..
well because its not ABC or whatever network the show was on, that posted the video, it was just some guy. and it wasnt ryen either.
i wasnt saying that i was skeptical, i was just saying if there was some scepticism that would be my thoughts
very carefully.

I'm excited! I always love Ryen's stuff!
yeah it should be good.
i feel like all the ozma members are off doing their own things.
jose is doing his solo record, or i think he may have just finished..
ryen is working with tgb..
daniel has his health and happiness
star is dressing Shiny Toy Guns
When are they going to start working on rock and roll part 4?
Ghost Instrumental has a pretty cool vibe. I think he should lift the melody and make an Ozma song a la Domino, Wake Up, Motrology, etc. New Commuter Music?

I actually had no idea about this. I just thought those studio pictures on his myspace were from Pasadena tracking. This is really awesome though; Immigration Song is my favorite Ozma song.
hey - this is Ryen.
1st- clarification on the CAVEMEN song: I did that because my friend who worked on the show said maybe I'd have a shot at getting the job if I submitted something - the song wasn't used but I thought it was still interesting/funny enough to put on youtube.
2nd thing - Kenn and Greg Doyle along with their friend Bob just finished an album under the band name Baby Champ - I recommend you download the album for free or just listen to some of the songs on their myspace/babychamprock THEN you will know what KENN and GREG have been doing.
3rd - I'm recording at my house and the first live demo has been posted on TGB's myspace.com/2ghostbroz if you like or don't like it add us anyway and leave a comment even though we all know myspace is irrelevant now - yet it is the home of TGB currently and is therefore very relevant.
yours truly,
Ryen
Thanks for the updates on things, Ryen. It's too bad that your song didn't get picked for the Cavemen introduction, but I suppose no one would have heard it anyway. I dig the sound of TGB and the direction you're going with that. Unfortunately Myspace is still very relevant in my life and didn't have a problem befriending TGB.
Ryen is my DAWG.

I still wish however he would have updated us on OZMA

Baby Champ isn't boring!
there's a new TGB song up on the myspace.com/2ghostbroz
I have to agree, Baby Champ is really cool. Fresh, fun sound ('Roman Jet Set' is a really solid, dynamic jam). Plus BC's first influence listed is Owls. Which quite frankly was a [short-lived] band that will never cease to amaze me.
hey! i like baby champ too! that's totally crazy that they made a 14 song album to give away! wtf is wrong with them? what's that you say? all proceeds go to charity? are they nuts? well... yes. they are nuts. kenn sings lead on 4 songs. i think that makes this ozma related even though most of you guys don't really consider him to be a member.
www.myspace.com/babychamprock
according to this thread, baby champ is good by a 3 to 1 vote.

Aw, I think Kenn is great! Tell him I, for one, fully accept him as an.. Ozman..?
It's funny you should mention that. I was listening to an Ozma track (I don't recall which one) that was pre-Pasadena just the other day and thought to myself "My word, what an awesome drumbeat by Kenn," or something to that extent. I forget that he hasn't always been in the band. I've enjoyed the times I've spoken to him at the shows. He's a really rad guy, and one would be a fool to not to consider him a member.
ok - new TGB record for free DL on the myspace.com/2ghostbroz site - Easter Sunday 08
take a listen if you dare.
It's off the chain, son!
Who says Ken's not a member? I'll take them out back and whip them personally.

last summer is the fucking jam.
i have mixed emotions about kenn, if ozma were to break up again, i would say "kenn drummed on pasadena" however right now i say "kenn is the drummer for ozma"
Kenn is the SHIT, end of discussion.
Ryen, i love you.
these new 2GB songs are amazingly fantastic! in a very odd way they kind of remind me of creedance clearwater revival.
Did you listen to his four other songs availible for download?

So does this
Anyways Kenn is a great drummer and fits in great with ozma. His drumming in Pasadena and the music he has made in his earlier solo work testify to this.
i would be willing to say that the drumming on pasadena is better than any drumming on any of the other albums (other than RRP3)
so ryen, have you spoken to nate lately?
I have not spoken to nate lately - I also wonder what he is doing. playing bass for Johnathan Rice perhaps?
Little known fact...
Jose wrote a lot of the drum parts to rock and roll part 3
I really enjoy the album, Ryen. I think that my favorite is "Simple Jim."
Haha, this album is just bringing a big smile to my face. Especially the commentary after "Water Fun".
ozma might be playing west coast shows in may/june - I'll keep you updated.

Thats odd. Why did he write the parts instead of pat?
Pat was badass and was too wasted on heroin to write his own parts.
Lol. Yes I guess so.
I seen him at the Irregardless show and I think I said something humorous like "Your Pat". Then he relpied by turning around and saying "sup". Then I think he turned back around if I remember right. It was cool.
It's cool that you having a conversation with us Ryen.
I hope I will be able to see you guys then. Play with someone cool, someone at least as half as good as Ozma.
we might play with Reeve Oliver - tell me what you think of them. are they half as good as us? I have no opinion.
Hmmm I need to give it time. They sound like they can be good. It sounds little to polished to sound like today's kind of bland alternative music yet they seem like they may still have something good. So I am not sure yet.
If they are somewhat close to their great influences and if they really sound like a double double with animal style fries, as they say I will really like them.
Have you ever heard of a band called bikeride? The did not appeal to me to much at first but now I really like them after listening to Morning Macumba. They are from Long Beach. Hint Hint. ;)
Whatever you guys chose songs good with me as long as you guys are playing.
thanks for being so cool and answering questions ryen. Just so you know, my favorite three yes dear songs are in order 1 give me the end 2 surf the intensity 3 ready to go.
I really like your vocals on all yes dear songs, they seem very strong.
And ALSO I have one more question. Have you personally been writing any new ozma songs or have you been devoting your writing to Tgb?
I have been devoting all my time to TGB and the study of the Equal Interval Harmony system developed by Lyle "Spud" Murphy.

Ryen,
Come to Virginia or near Virginia. Solo or with Ozma....either way please come soon!
-Eric
p.s. I like your new songs!
Ryen, you're bringing lurkers out of their shells.
Though, I can't say much, seeing as how I haven't been posting that often these past few weeks. Work and school leave little time for the OFF :(
does anyone use imeem? I just added a tgb page there it has nothing on it so far. what are other good music sites for bands, or is myspace still the go-to for researching bands these days?
hey ryen
you may want to check out www.purevolume.com
purevolume still exists? :o
i still only go to myspace. but thats not saying much...
i still use purevolume.. i guess myspace is prob best. i bet www.last.fm has some cool stuff for bands.
yeah, whenever I go to purevolume it looks so depressing but maybe they've changed the style by now. I've been setting stuff up on imeem and ilike and it just seems weird and you have to go through garageband.com still to load songs so that's sort of bogus.
I think the people that made purevolume also made:
www.virb.com
Seems like a hip alternative. Hopefully it catches on.
virb.com seems pretty nice so I signed up tgb and me, again, nothing new compared to myspace I suppose people are still trying to set up a page that will be "the next big thing" but I don't see any innovations in these pages. I sent out a message on myspace about the TGB album and also the commercial jeff and I made for it which you can hear on the myspace.com/tgbmusic - I think it's pretty funny although I am sick of it after editing it for a few hours. anyone ever make a commercial before? it's pretty stupid.

You guys should play with Vince Dynamic -- I saw them last night...they said they were friends with you guys actually and they were awesome. So I think that would be a great show.
Wait, you thought Vince Dynamic was awesome last night? They didn't make a good impression on me without the drummer... they sounded very shaky. Not to mention the horrible stage presence.
Wow somebody from this board besides me was there last night? woah...freaky. Are you a student at Michigan too? that would blow my mind.
Yeah their stage presence sucked, but I enjoyed the jazz-ness and vocal harmonies.
Anyway, I thought they qualified for "at least half as good" as Ozma.
